Storytelling

A little story of the workplace could reflect its character somehow.
In Beijing, there is a kind of special company called "Professional Audience group". They provide audience when shows need.
Our organization usually ask them to be site audience.
Once upon a time. When all the shooting things were settled, the audiences had not come yet. The producer was very worried and angry. The invited guests were also impatient. This was an emergency situation always happened.
But thank god, we recorded show instead of live show. So we staff pretended to be audiences finally in order to make it smoothly. The most funny guy was the makeup artist, she had to sited well and smiled when action, while get busy when cut.

When we had meeting, one of the instructor of audiences was punished and all team had to review our work. From then on, the whole team was more firm than before.

In this story, I learnt calm and quick mind are  the most important things when dealing with emergency.

This story reflects that my workplace was not that structured well sometime, but we are good at reflection and making change for good.

    It made me think about the ability of dealing with unexpected events. Every leader or organizer in such situation may feel embarrassed and don’t know what to do. A clear mind and calm attitude can be cultivated after experiencing few sudden issues. Meanwhile, team spirit can also take action, a good team can handle it together and reverse the situation.

  2. Yes, a calm heart and quick mind is needed in dealing with emergencies~ The supports from team members are also quite essential.
    In my little story, the members are trained how to deal with emergencies all the time under stress~~
