When telling a story, the storyteller should demonstrate the following traits in order to be effective:

1) Voice - Speaks with an appropriate volume, be aware not to be monotone
2) Body Gesture & Facial expression - Use non-verbal communication to help clarify your idea
3) Focus - Clear concentration, eye contact with audience
4) Characterization - Use dialogues or special voices to characterize some characters
5) Use of space - Maintain clear spatial relationships with audience
6) Pacing - Present the story efficiently and in a comfortable pace

The story

This story is about working with my Indian colleagues.  They are very enthusiastic to their work and people around them. They often treat subordinates to meals and invite them to their homes for dinner.  They are workaholics but confused with time. For example, they will forget the time and food while they are working and live a life on the go.  They like to say “no problem” which is not actually totally fine. “Tomorrow “is the most frequently used words for an excuse. We have some cultural shocks sometimes. But the working environment is still full of fun.
The time conscious of Indian people is not that strong compared with Chinese, although Chinese time conscious is not also very firm. One day, one of my colleagues was told by her Indian manager to have a meeting, but the manager himself was late about 3 hours.
